Don’t work for the food that perishes   but for the food that lasts for eternal life,   which the Son of Man   will give you, because God the Father   has set his seal of approval on him.’

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.


Why do you spend silver on what is not food, and your wages on what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and you will enjoy the choicest of foods.


The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood   has eternal life, and I will raise   him up on the last day,

All of a person’s labour is for his stomach,  , yet the appetite is never satisfied.


For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory   like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,


and the Holy Spirit descended on him in a physical appearance like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my beloved Son; with you I am well-pleased.’


We recall, in the presence of our God and Father,  your work produced by faith,  your labour motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.


I labour for this, striving  with his strength that works powerfully in me.


The one who has accepted his testimony has affirmed that God is true.


‘Fellow Israelites, listen to these words: This Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did among you through him, just as you yourselves know.


Simon Peter  answered, ‘Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of eternal life.


Then a voice came from the cloud,  saying, ‘This is my Son,  the Chosen One;  , listen to him! ’


And make sure that there isn’t any immoral  or irreverent  person like Esau, who sold his birthright in exchange for a single meal.


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith  working through love.


Let us, then, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.


All these regulations refer to what is destined to perish by being used up; they are human commands and doctrines.


If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you, because you are the seal  of my apostleship in the Lord.


‘Food  is for the stomach and the stomach for food,’ and God will do away with both of them. However, the body is not for sexual immorality  but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.


And he received the sign of circumcision  as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith  , while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father  of all who believe  but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.


If I had not done the works   among them that no one else has done,   they would not be guilty of sin.   Now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.


Jesus told him, ‘I am   the way,   the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.


I know that you always hear me, but because of the crowd standing here I said this, so that they may believe you sent   me.’


I am the one who testifies   about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.’


A cloud  appeared, overshadowing  them, and a voice  came from the cloud:  ‘This is my beloved  Son;  listen to him! ’


And a voice  came from heaven:  ‘You are my beloved  Son;  with you I am well-pleased.’


While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered  them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased. Listen to him! ’


And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased.’


‘This  is my servant;  I strengthen him, this is my chosen one;  I delight in him. I have put my Spirit on him; he will bring justice  to the nations.


For the sun rises and, together with the scorching wind, dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance perishes. In the same way, the rich person will wither away while pursuing his activities.


So we do not focus on what is seen,  but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.


Jesus told him, ‘Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man   has no place to lay his head.’


Is it not from the  Lord of Armies that the peoples labour only to fuel the fire and countries exhaust themselves for nothing?


‘Come, eat my bread, and drink the wine I have mixed.


‘And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.’


so that everyone who believes in him may   have eternal life.


‘Truly I tell you, anyone who believes   has eternal life.


So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man   and drink his blood,   you do not have life in yourselves.


Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man   ascending   to where he was before?


And it is not across the sea so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it? ”
