Now many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of what the woman said when she testified, ‘He told me everything I ever did.’
‘Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah? ’
so he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar near the property that Jacob had given his son Joseph.
Therefore, many of the Jews who came to Mary and saw what he did believed in him.
And they told the woman, ‘We no longer believe because of what you said, since we have heard for ourselves and know that this really is the Saviour of the world.’
Jesus sent out these twelve after giving them instructions: ‘Don’t take the road that leads to the Gentiles, and don’t enter any Samaritan town.
because his disciples had gone into town to buy food.
They left the town and made their way to him.
I sent you to reap what you didn’t labour for; others have laboured, and you have benefited from their labour.’
So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there for two days.
The two disciples heard him say this and followed Jesus.
