John 20:21

Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me,   I also send you.’

Truly I tell you, whoever receives anyone I send receives me, and the one who receives   me receives him who sent me.’


For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn   the world, but to save the world through him.


But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’


What you have heard from me  in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful  men  who will be able to teach others also.


‘The one who welcomes you welcomes me,   and the one who welcomes me welcomes him who sent me.


‘Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.


When it was evening on that first day of the week,  the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because they feared the Jews. Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’


As  they were saying these things, he himself stood in their midst. He said to them, ‘Peace   to you! ’


After saying this, he breathed on them  and said,  ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.


A week later his disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you.’


until the day he was taken up, after he had given instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.
