Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
David answered, ‘Sons of Zeruiah, do we agree on anything? Have you become my adversary today? Should any man be killed in Israel today? Am I not aware that today I’m king over Israel? ’
The king replied, ‘Sons of Zeruiah, do we agree on anything? He curses me this way because the Lord told him, “Curse David! ” Therefore, who can say, “Why did you do that? ” ’
‘Woman,’ Jesus said to her, ‘why are you crying? Who is it that you’re seeking? ’ Supposing he was the gardener, she replied, ‘Sir, if you’ve carried him away, tell me where you’ve put him, and I will take him away.’
He said about his father and mother, ‘I do not regard them.’ He disregarded his brothers and didn’t acknowledge his sons, for they kept your word and maintained your covenant.
From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective. Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective, yet now we no longer know him in this way.
