Make the minds  of these people dull; deafen their ears and blind their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their minds, turn back, and be healed.


So he said, ‘The secrets of the kingdom of God have been given for you   to know, but to the rest it is in parables, so that Looking they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.   ,


so that they may indeed look, and yet not perceive; they may indeed listen, and yet not understand; otherwise, they might turn back and be forgiven.’   ,,


For the Lord has poured out on you an overwhelming urge to   sleep; he has shut your eyes (the prophets) and covered your heads (the seers).


Therefore repent  and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out,


Jesus said, ‘I came into this world   for judgement,   in order that those who do not see will see and those who do see will become blind.’


The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release   to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,


I will heal their apostasy; I will freely love them, for my anger will have turned from him.


Come, let’s return to the  Lord. For he has torn us, and he will heal us; he has wounded us, and he will bind up our wounds.


‘Son of man, you are living among a rebellious house.  They have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear,  for they are a rebellious house.


Return, you faithless children. I will heal your unfaithfulness. ‘Here we are, coming to you, for you are the  Lord our God.


For it was the Lord’s intention to harden their hearts,  so that they would engage Israel in battle, be completely destroyed without mercy, and be annihilated, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.


Yet to this day the Lord has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.


So then, he has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy and he hardens whom he wants to harden.


when he said, Go to these people and say: You will always be listening, but never understanding; and you will always be looking, but never perceiving.


Leave them alone! They are blind guides.   And if the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.’


‘ “But if the prophet is deceived and speaks a message, it was I, the Lord, who deceived that prophet.  I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel.


Hear this, you foolish and senseless   people. They have eyes, but they don’t see. They have ears, but they don’t hear.

because they had not understood about the loaves. Instead, their hearts were hardened.


But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment  for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.


Lord, your hand is lifted up to take action, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame. Let fire consume your adversaries.


As for me, I am going to harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them, and I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh, all his army, and his chariots and horsemen.


The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the Israelites, who were going out defiantly.  ,


I will harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he will pursue them. Then I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.’ So the Israelites did this.


However, Pharaoh’s heart was hard,  and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had said.


But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart  and multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.


The Lord instructed Moses, ‘When you go back to Egypt, make sure you do before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have put within your power. But I will harden his heart  , so that he won’t let the people go.


And the Lord said, “Who will entice Ahab to march up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? ”  So one was saying this and another was saying that.


But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart  and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had told Moses.


Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may do these miraculous signs of mine among them,  ,


Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, but the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart,  and he would not let the Israelites go out of his land.


And he replied: Go! Say to these people: Keep listening, but do not understand; keep looking, but do not perceive.


This is why they were unable to believe, because Isaiah also said:
