When it was morning, the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves under a curse not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.

For they can’t sleep unless they have done what is evil; they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone stumble.


The murderer rises at dawn to kill the poor and needy, and by night he becomes a thief.


The tents of robbers are safe, and those who trouble God are secure; God holds them in his hands.  ,


The hungry consume his harvest, even taking it out of the thorns. The thirsty  pant for his children’s wealth.


You will live by your sword, and you will serve your brother. But when you rebel, you will break his yoke from your neck.


This man will be like a wild donkey. His hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand will be against him; he will settle near all his relatives.’


They gather their fodder in the field and glean the vineyards of the wicked.
