So then, dear friends, since we have these promises, let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you ask, ‘How have we wearied him? ’ When you say, ‘Everyone who does what is evil is good in the Lord’s sight, and he is delighted with them, or else where is the God of justice? ’
I know, my God, that you test the heart and that you are pleased with what is right. I have willingly given all these things with an upright heart, and now I have seen your people who are present here giving joyfully and willingly to you.
But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you provided #– #a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
