For this reason, we must pay attention all the more to what we have heard, so that we will not drift away.


Why do you spend silver on what is not food, and your wages on what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and you will enjoy the choicest of foods.


Hear my words, you wise ones, and listen to me, you knowledgeable ones.


But now, Job, pay attention to my speech, and listen to all my words.


How long until you stop talking? Show some sense, and then we can talk.


I have heard many things like these. You are all miserable comforters.


Are God’s consolations not enough for you, even the words that deal gently with you?


When they told Jotham, he climbed to the top of Mount Gerizim,  raised his voice, and called to them: Listen to me, citizens of Shechem, and may God listen to you:


Bear with me while I speak; then after I have spoken, you may continue mocking.
