This was after King Jeconiah,  , the queen mother, the court officials, the officials of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the metalsmiths had left Jerusalem.

those King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon did not take when he deported Jeconiah  son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon along with all the nobles of Judah  and Jerusalem.


And I will restore to this place Jeconiah  son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the exiles from Judah  who went to Babylon” #– #this is the Lord’s declaration #– #“for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.” ’


After King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had deported Jeconiah  son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, the officials of Judah, and the craftsmen and metalsmiths  from Jerusalem and had brought them to Babylon, the Lord showed me two baskets of figs  placed in front of the temple of the Lord.


“Some of your descendants #– #who come from you, whom you father #– #will be taken away,  and they will become eunuchs  in the palace of the king of Babylon.” ’


He looked up towards the window and said, ‘Who is on my side? Who? ’ Two or three eunuchs  looked down at him,


No blacksmith could be found in all the land of Israel  because the Philistines had said, ‘Otherwise, the Hebrews will make swords or spears.’


Say to the king and the queen mother: Take a humble seat, for your glorious crowns have fallen from your heads.


But Ebed-melech, a Cushite court official in the king’s palace, heard that Jeremiah had been put into the cistern. While the king was sitting at the Benjamin Gate,


Hear the word of the Lord, all you exiles I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon.
