You welcome the one who joyfully does what is right; they remember you in your ways. But we have sinned, and you were angry. How can we be saved if we remain in our sins?
How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart; my compassion is stirred!
‘You are to place the altar in front of the curtain by the ark of the testimony #– #in front of the mercy seat that is over the testimony #– #where I will meet with you.
I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the testimony; I will speak with you from there about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.
‘Make an earthen altar for me, and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your flocks and herds. I will come to you and bless you in every place where I cause my name to be remembered.
I will make known the Lord’s faithful love and the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the Lord has done for us – even the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, which he did for them based on his compassion and the abundance of his faithful love.
