Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Although I struck you in my wrath, yet I will show mercy to you with my favour.

Strangers will stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners will be your ploughmen and vinedressers.


Kings will be your guardians and their queens  your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the ground and lick the dust at your feet. Then you will know that I am the  Lord; those who put their hope in me will not be put to shame.


They will bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.  ,


The nations will walk by its light,  and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.  ,


People who are far off will come and build the Lord’s temple, and you will know that the Lord of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen when you fully obey the Lord your God.’


Nations will come to your light, and kings to your shining brightness.


On that day you will say: ‘I will give thanks to you, Lord, although you were angry with me. Your anger has turned away, and you have comforted me.


I will also take some of them as priests and Levites,’  says the Lord.


As for the foreigners who join themselves to the  Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to become his servants – all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold firmly to my covenant –


to proclaim the year of the  Lord’s favour, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort  all who mourn,


Lord, do not be terribly angry or remember our iniquity for ever. Please look #– #all of us are your people!


Then the Lord became jealous for his land  and spared his people.
