He replied to them, ‘The one who has two shirts must share with someone who has none, and the one who has food must do the same.’

‘If you see your brother Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it; make sure you return it to your brother.


Rescue those being taken off to death, and save those stumbling towards slaughter.


This is what the Lord says: Administer justice and righteousness.  Rescue the victim of robbery from his oppressor.  Don’t exploit or brutalise the resident foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow.  Don’t shed innocent blood in this place.


A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel person brings ruin on himself.
