For the Lamb who is at the centre of the throne will shepherd them; he will guide them to springs of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.


But the angel said to him, ‘Do not be afraid,  Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard.  Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will name him John.


But God, who comforts the downcast,  comforted us by the arrival of Titus,


Then  Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: ‘The Lord, the God of Israel says, “I have heard your prayer  to me about King Sennacherib of Assyria.”

He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned for twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abi  daughter of Zechariah.

and said, “Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. And indeed, God has graciously given you all those who are sailing with you.”


Since a person’s days are determined and the number of his months depends on you, and since you have set   limits he cannot pass,


In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Assyria’s King Sennacherib attacked all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them.


But for the sake of David, the Lord his God gave him a lamp  in Jerusalem by raising up his son after him and by preserving Jerusalem.


In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still a youth, Josiah began to seek the God of his ancestor David,  and in the twelfth year he began to cleanse Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherah poles, the carved images,  and the cast images.


Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah:


a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build;


Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: ‘The Lord, the God of Israel, says, “Because you prayed to me about King Sennacherib of Assyria,


You heard my plea: Do not ignore my cry for relief.
