How unstable you are, constantly changing your ways! You will be put to shame by Egypt just as you were put to shame by Assyria.

The calf itself will be taken to Assyria as an offering to the great king.  , Ephraim will experience shame; Israel will be ashamed of its counsel.


Trusting an unreliable person in a difficult time is like a rotten tooth or a faltering foot.


The Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says, ‘I am about to punish Amon, god of Thebes,  along with Pharaoh, Egypt, her gods, and her kings #– #Pharaoh and those trusting in him.


When Israel grasped you by the hand, you splintered,  tearing all their shoulders; when they leaned on you, you shattered and made all their hips unsteady.
