Therefore, my heart moans like flutes for Moab,  and my heart moans like flutes for the people of Kir-heres. And therefore, the wealth he has gained has perished.


A pronouncement  concerning the animals of the Negev: Through a land of trouble and distress, of lioness and lion, of viper and flying serpent, they carry their wealth on the backs of donkeys and their treasures on the humps of camels, to a people who will not help them.

On the first day you are to take the product  of majestic trees #– #palm fronds,  boughs of leafy trees,  and willows of the brook   #– #and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.


For their cry echoes throughout the territory of Moab. Their wailing reaches Eglaim; their wailing reaches Beer-elim.
