For in bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God #– #for whom and through whom all things exist #– #should make the pioneer  of their salvation perfect through sufferings.


but he became a priest with an oath made by the one who said to him: The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest for ever.’   ,


In these last days,  he has spoken to us by his Son. God has appointed him heir of all things  and made the universe  , through him.


He said to them, ‘Go and tell that fox, “Look, I’m driving out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will complete my work.”   ,


But because he remains for ever, he holds his priesthood permanently.


Without father, mother, or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God,  he remains a priest for ever.


In the same way, Christ did not exalt himself to become a high priest, but God who said to him, You are my Son; today I have become your Father,   ,,


But Christ was faithful as a Son over his household. And we are that household if we hold on to our confidence and the hope in which we boast.  ,


When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, ‘It is finished.’   Then bowing his head, he gave up his spirit.


‘If the anointed priest  sins, bringing guilt  on the people, he is to present to the Lord a young, unblemished  bull as a sin  offering  for the sin he has committed.


Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens #– #Jesus the Son of God #– #let us hold fast to our confession.


Therefore, he had to be like his brothers and sisters in every way, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in matters  pertaining to God, to make atonement  , for the sins of the people.


Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.
