‘My food is to do the will of him   who sent me   and to finish his work,’   Jesus told them.


If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.


For I have come down from heaven,   not to do my own will, but the will of him   who sent me.


But Christ was faithful as a Son over his household. And we are that household if we hold on to our confidence and the hope in which we boast.  ,


but to  the Son: Your throne, God, is for ever and ever, and the sceptre of your kingdom is a sceptre of justice.


For to which of the angels did he ever say, You are my Son; today I have become your Father,   , or again, I will be his Father, and he will be my Son?  ,


Jesus answered him, ‘Allow it for now, because this is the way for us to fulfil all righteousness.’ Then John allowed him to be baptised.


In these last days,  he has spoken to us by his Son. God has appointed him heir of all things  and made the universe  , through him.


But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment  for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.


No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.’
