So the Lord God asked the woman, ‘What have you done? ’ And the woman said, ‘The serpent deceived me, and I ate.’


This is why a man leaves his father and mother and bonds with his wife, and they become one flesh.


‘I’m not a Jew, am I? ’ Pilate replied. ‘Your own nation and the chief priests handed you over to me. What have you done? ’


When Laban overtook Jacob, Jacob had pitched his tent in the hill country, and Laban and his relatives also pitched their tents in the hill country of Gilead.


Why did you secretly flee from me, deceive me, and not tell me? I would have sent you away with joy and singing, with tambourines and lyres,


When morning came, there was Leah! So he said to Laban, ‘What have you done to me? Wasn’t it for Rachel that I worked for you? Why have you deceived me? ’
