Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it.


And on that day every place where there were a thousand vines, worth a thousand pieces of silver, will become thorns and briars.

They have sown wheat but harvested thorns. They have exhausted themselves but have no profit. Be put to shame by your harvests because of the  Lord’s burning anger.


Thistles had come up everywhere, weeds covered the ground, and the stone wall was ruined.


saying: Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will leave this life.  , The Lord gives, and the  Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the  Lord.


One person believes he may eat anything,  while one who is weak eats only vegetables.


And he said to the man, ‘Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, “Do not eat from it”: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labour all the days of your life.


You will eat bread  by the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground, since you were taken from it. For you are dust, and you will return to dust.’


A man will go there with bow and arrows because the whole land will be thorns and briars.
