After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who lived near Beer-lahai-roi.

I will indeed bless you  and make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky  and the sand on the seashore.  Your offspring will possess the city gates of their  enemies.


That is why the well is called Beer-lahai-roi.  It is between Kadesh and Bered.


Now Isaac was returning from Beer-lahai-roi,  , for he was living in the Negev region.


But God said, ‘No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac.  I will confirm my covenant with him as a permanent covenant for his future offspring.


I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.


Joseph said to his brothers, ‘I am about to die,  but God will certainly come to your aid and bring you up from this land to the land he swore to give to Abraham,  Isaac,  and Jacob.’


I will bless those who bless you, I will curse anyone who treats you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed  through you.  ,


stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you.  For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring,  and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.


‘The Lord has greatly blessed my master, and he has become rich. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female slaves, and camels and donkeys.


Isaac sowed seed in that land, and in that year he reaped  a hundred times what was sown. The Lord blessed him,
