And Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah and took Rebekah to be his wife. Isaac loved her, and he was comforted after his mother’s death.


So Laban went into Jacob’s tent, Leah’s tent, and the tents of the two concubines,  but he found nothing. When he left Leah’s tent, he went into Rachel’s tent.


Then the Lord said to Cain, ‘Where is your brother Abel? ’ ‘I don’t know,’ he replied. ‘Am I my brother’s guardian? ’


By faith he stayed as a foreigner in the land of promise, living in tents as did Isaac and Jacob, co-heirs of the same promise.


So the Lord God called out to the man and said to him, ‘Where are you? ’


Then Abraham took curds  and milk, as well as the calf that he had prepared, and set them before the men. He served  them as they ate under the tree.


The Lord said, ‘I will certainly come back to you in about a year’s time, and your wife Sarah will have a son! ’  Now Sarah was listening at the entrance of the tent behind him.
