Then he said, ‘Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak one more time.  Suppose ten are found there? ’ He answered, ‘I will not destroy it on account of ten.’

Gideon then said to God, ‘Don’t be angry with me; let me speak one more time. Please allow me to make one more test with the fleece. Let it remain dry, and the dew be all over the ground.’

So the Lord relented  concerning the disaster he had said he would bring on his people.


Then he said, ‘Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose thirty are found there? ’ He answered, ‘I will not do it if I find thirty there.’


Then he said, ‘Since I have ventured to speak to my lord, suppose twenty are found there? ’ He replied, ‘I will not destroy it on account of twenty.’


But Judah approached him and said, ‘My lord, please let your servant speak personally to my lord. Do not be angry with your servant, for you are like Pharaoh.


Roam  through the streets of Jerusalem. Investigate; search in her squares. If you find one person, any who acts justly, who pursues faithfulness, then I will forgive her.
