Then they came back to invade En-mishpat (that is, Kadesh  ), and they defeated the whole territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites who lived in Hazazon-tamar.

The men went back to Moses, Aaron, and the entire Israelite community in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh. They brought back a report for them and the whole community, and they showed them the fruit of the land.


chief Korah,  chief Gatam, and chief Amalek. These are the chiefs descended from Eliphaz in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Adah.


Timna, a concubine of Esau’s son Eliphaz, bore Amalek to Eliphaz. These are the sons of Esau’s wife Adah.


Fishermen will stand beside it from En-gedi to En-eglaim.  These will become places where nets are spread out to dry. Their fish will consist of many different kinds, like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.


Next to the territory of Gad towards the south side, the border will run from Tamar to the Waters  of Meribath-kadesh, to the Brook of Egypt, and out to the Mediterranean Sea.
