The Lord told Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand and grab it by the tail.’ So he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand.
‘Do whatever he tells you,’ his mother told the servants.
Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing at all will harm you.
they will pick up snakes; , if they should drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.’
‘Throw it on the ground,’ he said. So Moses threw it on the ground, it became a snake, and he ran from it.
‘This will take place,’ he continued, ‘so that they will believe that the Lord, the God of their ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.’
Then he said, ‘Pick it up.’ So he reached out and took it.
