This is the word that came to Jeremiah for all the Jews living in the land of Egypt #– #at Migdol,  Tahpanhes,  Memphis,  and in the land of Pathros:


Announce it in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol! Proclaim it in Memphis and in Tahpanhes! Say, ‘Take positions! Prepare yourself, for the sword devours all around you.’


The Egyptians #– #all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots, his horsemen,  and his army #– #chased  after them and caught up with them as they camped by the sea beside Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.


therefore, I am against you and your Nile. I will turn the land of Egypt into ruins, a desolate waste from Migdol to Syene, as far as the border of Cush.


Then the Lord spoke to Moses:


Pharaoh will say of the Israelites: They are wandering around the land in confusion; the wilderness has boxed them in.


When I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and you reached the Red Sea,  the Egyptians pursued your ancestors with chariots and horsemen as far as the sea.
