But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretence.


I have seen that there is nothing better than for a person to enjoy his activities  because that is his reward. For who can enable him to see what will happen after he dies?  ,


Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.


‘The master praised the unrighteous manager   because he had acted shrewdly. For the children of this age   are more shrewd than the children of light   in dealing with their own people.


I have observed that this also is wisdom under the sun, and it is significant to me:


For the love of money is a root  of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith  and pierced themselves with many griefs.


Then the king answered the people harshly. He rejected the advice the elders had given him


So I began to give myself over  to despair concerning all my work that I had laboured at under the sun.


Solomon rested with his ancestors and was buried in the city of his father David. His son Rehoboam  became king in his place.


When I considered all that I had accomplished  and what I had laboured to achieve, I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind.  , There was nothing to be gained under the sun.
