Or has a god attempted to go and take a nation as his own out of another nation, by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, by great terrors, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Then the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, with terrifying power, and with signs and wonders.


Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out of there with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.


‘Therefore tell the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from the forced labour of the Egyptians and rescue you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm  and great acts of judgement.


the great trials that you saw, the signs and wonders, the strong hand and outstretched arm, by which the Lord your God brought you out. The Lord your God will do the same to all the peoples you fear.


You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror.


tell him, “We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand.


Then Moses said to the people, ‘Remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the Lord brought you out of here by the strength of his hand. Nothing leavened may be eaten.


and for all the mighty acts of power and terrifying deeds that Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.


therefore, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh so that you may lead my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.’


Humble  yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand  of God, so that he may exalt you at the proper time,


Pharaoh’s officials asked him, ‘How long must this man be a snare  to us? Let the men go, so that they may worship the Lord their God. Don’t you realise yet that Egypt is devastated? ’


You saw with your own eyes the great trials and those great signs and wonders.


But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart  and multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.


He said to his people, ‘Look, the Israelite people are more numerous and powerful than we are.


That day the Lord saved Israel from the power of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.


But they are your people, your inheritance, whom you brought out by your great power and outstretched arm.


Understand today that it is not your children who experienced or saw the discipline of the Lord your God: His greatness, strong hand, and outstretched arm;


How happy you are, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the  Lord? He is the shield that protects you, the sword you boast in. Your enemies will cringe before you, and you will tread on their backs.  ,


Wake up, wake up! Arm of the  Lord, clothe yourself with strength. Wake up as in days past, as in generations long ago. Wasn’t it you who hacked Rahab to pieces, who pierced the sea monster?


I myself will fight against you  with an outstretched hand and a strong arm,  with anger, fury, and intense wrath.


Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand towards heaven, and there will be darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness that can be felt.’


Lord, who is like you among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, revered with praises, performing wonders?


“You have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.


When we cried out to the Lord, he heard our plea,  and sent an angel,  , and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the border of your territory.


The Lord your God who goes before you  will fight for you,  just as you saw him do for you in Egypt.


He is your praise and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awe-inspiring works your eyes have seen.


Your ancestors cried out to the Lord, so he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea over them, engulfing them. Your own eyes saw what I did to Egypt. After that, you lived in the wilderness a long time.
