‘Get up and go to the street called Straight,’ the Lord said to him, ‘to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus   named Saul, since he is praying there.

He  continued, ‘I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel  according to the strictness of our ancestral law. I was zealous for God, just as all of you are today.


Paul said, ‘I am a Jewish man from Tarsus of Cilicia,  a citizen of an important city. Now I ask you, let me speak to the people.’


When the brothers found out, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.


Then he went to Tarsus to search for Saul,


He reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying, “Send to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is also named Peter.


An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip: ‘Get up and go south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.’ (This is the desert road.  ,)


Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.   ,


‘Then I will pour out a spirit  , of grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look at  me whom they pierced. They will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly for him as one weeps for a firstborn.


But from there, you will search for the Lord your God, and you will find him when you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.


Jesus answered, ‘If you knew the gift of God,   and who is saying to you, “Give me a drink,” you would ask him, and he would give you living water.’


Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, your heart’s intent may be forgiven.


The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the  Lord, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
