Agrippa said to Festus, ‘This man could have been released if he had not appealed to Caesar.’


I found that he had not done anything deserving of death, but when he himself appealed to the Emperor, I decided to send him.


But when Paul appealed to be held for trial by the Emperor,  I ordered him to be kept in custody until I could send him to Caesar.’


Immediately  he  made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds.
