After two years had passed, Porcius Festus  succeeded Felix, and because Felix wanted to do the Jews a favour,  he left Paul in prison.


Since I was at a loss in a dispute over such things, I asked him if he wanted to go to Jerusalem and be tried there regarding these matters.


When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter too, during the Festival of Unleavened Bread.
