But when they believed Philip, as he proclaimed the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptised.


‘The   Law and the Prophets   were until John; since then, the good news of the kingdom of God   has been proclaimed, and everyone is urgently invited to enter it.


But he told him, ‘Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and spread the news of the kingdom of God.’


‘Therefore,’ he said to them, ‘every teacher of the law   who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom treasures new and old.’


When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one sown along the path.


As you go, proclaim, “The kingdom of heaven has come near.”


From then on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, because the kingdom of heaven   has come near.’
