The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, ‘Have courage! For as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so it is necessary for you to testify in Rome.’


During the night Paul had a vision in which a Macedonian man was standing and pleading with him, ‘Cross over to Macedonia and help us! ’


On the contrary, after we had previously suffered  and were treated outrageously in Philippi,  as you know, we were emboldened by our God to speak the gospel of God to you in spite of great opposition.


As for me, however, I am filled with power by the Spirit of the  Lord, with justice and courage, to proclaim to Jacob his rebellion and to Israel his sin.


‘Now, get ready. Stand up and tell them everything that I command you. Do not be intimidated by them  or I will cause you to cower before them.


‘Get up! Go to the great city of Nineveh  and preach  the message that I tell you.’


‘Cry out loudly, don’t hold back! Raise your voice like a ram’s horn. Tell my people their transgression and the house of Jacob their sins.


and saw him telling me, “Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.”


There was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias, and the Lord said to him in a vision, ‘Ananias.’ ‘Here I am, Lord,’ he replied.


For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.’


Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?


You came near whenever I called you; you said, ‘Do not be afraid.’
