But when the Jews from Thessalonica found out that the word of God had been proclaimed by Paul at Berea, they came there too, agitating and upsetting  the crowds.

When the seven days were nearly over, some Jews from the province of Asia saw him in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd, and seized him,


But the Jews became jealous, and they brought together some wicked men from the marketplace, formed a mob, and started a riot in the city. Attacking Jason’s house, they searched for them to bring them out to the public assembly.


But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.


They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; so they came, seized him, and took him to the Sanhedrin.

A greedy person stirs up conflict, but whoever trusts in the  Lord will prosper.


Do you think that I came here to bring peace on the earth?   No, I tell you, but rather division.


A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but one slow to anger  calms strife.


Still, there was no one like Ahab, who devoted himself to do what was evil in the Lord’s sight, because his wife Jezebel incited him.


After they passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica,  where there was a Jewish synagogue.


As soon as it was night, the brothers and sisters sent Paul and Silas away to Berea.  Upon arrival, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.


He was accompanied  by Sopater son of Pyrrhus  from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy,  and Tychicus  and Trophimus  from the province of Asia.


On frequent journeys, I faced dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers,  dangers from my own people,  dangers from Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, and dangers among false brothers;
