This became known to all the residents of Jerusalem, so that in their own language that field is called Hakeldama (that is, ‘Field of Blood’).

After he had given permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned with his hand to the people. When there was a great hush, he addressed them in Aramaic:  ,


‘Fellow Israelites, listen to these words: This Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did among you through him, just as you yourselves know.


They took the money and did as they were instructed, and this story has been spread among Jewish people to this day.


Then each man grabbed his opponent by the head and thrust his sword into his opponent’s side so that they all died together. So this place, which is in Gibeon, is named Field of Blades.


‘Throw it to the potter,’  the Lord said to me #– #this magnificent price I was valued by them. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw it into the house of the Lord, to the potter.  ,


Therefore that field has been called ‘Field of Blood’ to this day.
