These are the last words of David: The declaration of David son of Jesse, the declaration of the man raised on high, the one anointed by the God of Jacob. This is the most delightful of Israel’s songs.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,  singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.


He told them, ‘These are my words   that I spoke to you while I was still with you #– #that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets,   and the Psalms   must be fulfilled.’


They improvise songs  to the sound of the harp and invent  their own musical instruments like David.


Sing to him; sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works!


On that day David decreed for the first time that thanks be given to the Lord by Asaph and his relatives:


Those who oppose the  Lord will be shattered;  , he will thunder in the heavens against them. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth. He will give power to his king; he will lift up the horn of his anointed.  ,


Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises.


For David himself says in the Book of Psalms: The Lord declared to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand


This is the blessing that Moses, the man of God, gave the Israelites before his death.


Then Jacob called his sons and said, ‘Gather round, and I will tell you what will happen to you in the days to come.  ,


Now David was the son of the Ephrathite  from Bethlehem of Judah named Jesse. Jesse had eight sons  and during Saul’s reign was already an old man.


As they danced, the women sang: Saul has killed his thousands, but David his tens of thousands.


He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me securely on the   heights.


He is a tower of salvation for   his king; he shows loyalty to his anointed, to David and his descendants for ever.
