The ropes of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.

God raised him up, ending the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by death.

I called to the Lord in my distress, and he answered me. I cried out for help from deep inside Sheol; you heard my voice.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning people away from the snares of death.
