But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite,  ‘Go and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria  and say to them, “Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to enquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?


After a long time, the word of the Lord   came to Elijah in the third year:  ‘Go and present yourself to Ahab.  I will send rain on the surface of the land.’


A man of God  came, however, from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.


We will certainly die  and be like water poured out on the ground, which can’t be recovered. But God would not take away a life; he would devise plans so that the one banished from him does not remain banished.


David told the messenger, ‘Say this to Joab: “Don’t let this matter upset you because the sword devours all alike. Intensify your fight against the city and demolish it.” Encourage him.’


Nathan reported all these words and this entire vision to David.


The rich man had very large flocks and herds,


but the priest Zadok,  Benaiah son of Jehoiada,  the prophet Nathan,  Shimei,  Rei, and David’s royal guard  , did not side with Adonijah.


As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, note that they are written in the Events of the Seer Samuel,  the Events of the Prophet Nathan,  and the Events of the Seer Gad,


Then the prophet Isaiah came to King Hezekiah and asked him, ‘What did these men say, and where did they come to you from? ’ Hezekiah replied, ‘They came to me from a distant country, from Babylon.’


Azariah son of Nathan, in charge of the district governors; Zabud son of Nathan, a priest and adviser to the king;
