Elijah took his mantle,  rolled it up, and struck the water, which parted to the right and left. Then the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

Elijah left there and found Elisha  son of Shaphat as he was ploughing. Twelve teams of oxen were in front of him, and he was with the twelfth team. Elijah walked by him and threw his mantle over him.


He took the mantle Elijah had dropped, and he struck the water. ‘Where is the Lord God of Elijah? ’ he asked. He struck the water himself, and it parted to the right and the left, and Elisha crossed over.


By faith they crossed the Red Sea as though they were on dry land. When the Egyptians attempted to do this, they were drowned.


The Lord will divide  , the Gulf of Suez. He will wave his hand over the Euphrates with his mighty wind and will split it into seven streams, letting people walk through on foot.


When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle  and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, a voice came to him and said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah? ’


The sixth  poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates,  and its water was dried up  to prepare the way for the kings from the east.


They were stoned,  , they were sawn in two, they died by the sword, they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins,  destitute, afflicted, and mistreated.


But the Israelites had walked through the sea on dry ground, with the waters like a wall to them on their right and their left.


Then Saul asked her, ‘What does he look like? ’ ‘An old man is coming up,’ she replied. ‘He’s wearing a robe.’  Then Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he knelt low with his face to the ground and paid homage.
