When I was present with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, since the brothers who came from Macedonia  supplied my needs.  I have kept myself, and will keep myself, from burdening you in any way.


I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.


If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive  him into your home, and do not greet him;


because such people do not serve our Lord Christ  but their own appetites.  , They deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting with smooth talk and flattering words.


‘The one who welcomes you welcomes me,   and the one who welcomes me welcomes him who sent me.


If anyone does not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet   when you leave that house or town.


Then Moses became angry and said to the Lord, ‘Don’t respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them or mistreated a single one of them.’


So if you consider me a partner, welcome  him as you would me.


I am sending him back to you #– #I am sending my very own heart.  ,


You are witnesses,  and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously,  and blamelessly  we conducted ourselves with you believers.


Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, sends you greetings, as does Mark,  Barnabas’s  cousin (concerning whom you have received instructions: if he comes to you, welcome him),


Therefore, welcome him in the Lord with great joy and hold people like him in honour,


I repeat: Let no one consider me a fool. But if you do, at least accept me as a fool so that I can also boast a little.


Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful things, not acting  deceitfully or distorting the word of God,  but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth.


Indeed, this is our boast: The testimony  of our conscience  is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially towards you, with godly sincerity and purity, not by human wisdom  but by God’s grace.


When you enter any town, and they welcome you, eat the things set before you.
