If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive  us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.


And the gift is not like the one man’s sin, because from one sin came the judgement,  resulting in condemnation, but from many trespasses came the gift, resulting in justification.

But some from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.


Instead, you must tear down their altars, smash their sacred pillars, and chop down their Asherah poles.


Manasseh rested with his ancestors, and he was buried in his own house. His son Amon became king in his place.


But he did not humble himself before the Lord like his father Manasseh humbled himself;  instead, Amon increased his guilt.


Say to the king and the queen mother: Take a humble seat, for your glorious crowns have fallen from your heads.


You heard my plea: Do not ignore my cry for relief.
