2 Chronicles 16:14

He was buried in his own tomb that he had made for himself in the city of David. They laid him out in a coffin that was full of spices and various mixtures of prepared ointments;  then they made a great fire in his honour.

This continued day after day until two full years passed. Then his intestines came out because of his disease, and he died from severe  illnesses. But his people did not hold a fire in his honour like the fire in honour of his predecessors.


He commanded his servants who were physicians to embalm his father. So they embalmed Israel.
