Solomon offered sacrifices there in the Lord’s presence on the bronze altar at the tent of meeting; he offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.

The king went to Gibeon  to sacrifice there because it was the most famous high place. He offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.


The following day they offered sacrifices to the Lord and burnt offerings to the Lord: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, along with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.


Solomon offered a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to the Lord: twenty-two thousand cattle and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats.  In this manner the king and all the Israelites dedicated  the Lord’s temple.


Lebanon’s cedars are not enough for fuel, or its animals enough for a burnt offering.


King Solomon and the entire congregation of Israel, who had gathered around him and were with him in front of the ark, were sacrificing sheep, goats, and cattle that could not be counted or numbered, because there were so many.


At that time  Solomon offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the Lord’s altar he had made in front of the portico.
