Let brotherly love  continue.


David and four hundred of the men continued the pursuit, while two hundred stopped because they were too exhausted to cross the Wadi Besor.


Then he went to the men of Succoth and said, ‘Here are Zebah and Zalmunna. You taunted me about them, saying, “Are Zebah and Zalmunna now in your power that we should give bread to your exhausted men? ” ’


Finally, all of you be like-minded and sympathetic, love one another,  and be compassionate  and humble,


but all the corrupt and worthless men among those who had gone with David argued, ‘Because they didn’t go with us, we will not give any of the plunder we recovered to them except for each man’s wife and children. They may take them and go.’

David left his supplies in the care of the quartermaster  and ran to the battle line. When he arrived, he asked his brothers how they were.
