Then Saul threw his spear at Jonathan to kill him,  so he knew that his father was determined to kill David.


and he threw it, thinking, ‘I’ll pin David to the wall.’  But David got away from him twice.


No wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel will prevail against the  Lord.


Then they were trying again to seize him,  but he escaped their grasp.


But he passed right through the crowd and went on his way.

because their feet run towards evil and they hurry to shed blood.


The next day an evil spirit sent from God came powerfully on Saul,  and he began to rave  inside the palace. David was playing the lyre as usual,  but Saul was holding a spear,
