For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead,  , so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards,  they might live  in the spirit according to God’s standards.


The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal  the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;


in order to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the dungeon, and those sitting in darkness from the prison house.
