Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
‘Truly I tell you,’ Jesus said, ‘there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields because of my name will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life.
You know, Lord; remember me and take note of me. Avenge me against my persecutors. In your patience, don’t take me away. Know that I suffer disgrace for your honour.
I have made your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them or discouraged by the look on their faces, though they are a rebellious house.’
See, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome that the Lord brought about #– #the Lord is compassionate and merciful.
