Let all bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you, along with all malice.


Therefore, ridding yourselves of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent,  humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.


Don’t criticise one another, brothers and sisters. Anyone who defames or judges a fellow believer  defames and judges the law. If you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.


For the   one who wants to love life and to see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit,


They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living #– #and they slander  you.


in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.


Brothers and sisters, do not complain about one another, so that you will not be judged. Look, the judge stands at the door!


Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses  surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance  the race that lies before us,


Wives,  , likewise, should be worthy of respect, not slanderers, self-controlled,  faithful in everything.


He did not commit sin,  and no deceit   was found in his mouth;   ,


In the same way, older women  are to be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is good,


Brothers and sisters, don’t be childish in your thinking, but be infants in regard to evil and adult in your thinking.


They are filled with all unrighteousness,  evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,


Or how can you say to your brother, “Brother, let me take out the splinter that is in your eye,” when you yourself don’t see the beam of wood in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter in your brother’s eye.


In the same way, on the outside you seem righteous to people, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.


Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s eye.


For I fear that perhaps when I come I will not find you to be what I want, and you may not find me to be what you want. Perhaps there will be quarrelling,  jealousy,  angry outbursts, selfish ambitions,  slander,  gossip, arrogance, and disorder.


Don’t envy the evil or desire to be with them,


Don’t envy a violent man or choose any of his ways;


No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.


Submit as free people, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil,  but as God’s slaves.


Or do you think it’s without reason that the Scripture says: The spirit he made to dwell in us envies intensely?  ,


But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and deny the truth.


For our exhortation didn’t come from error or impurity  or an intent to deceive.


Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old leaven or with the leaven of malice and evil,  but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.


Then Jesus saw Nathanael coming towards him and said about him, ‘Here truly is an Israelite   in whom there is no deceit.’


‘Woe to you!   You are like unmarked graves;   the people who walk over them don’t know it.’


Then you will defile your silver-plated idols and your gold-plated images. You will throw them away like menstrual cloths, and call them filth.


Don’t be agitated by evildoers, and don’t envy the wicked.


A tranquil heart is life to the body, but jealousy is rottenness to the bones.


Those who have a godless heart harbour anger; even when God binds them, they do not cry for help.


Meanwhile, a crowd of many thousands came together, so that they were trampling  on one another. He began to say to his disciples first,  ‘Be on your guard   against the leaven   , of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.


But knowing their hypocrisy,  he said to them, ‘Why are you testing   me? Bring me a denarius   , to look at.’


He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.


Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said:


On that day people will throw their worthless idols of silver and gold, which they made to worship, to the moles and the bats.
