The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked.
For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done for you.
Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ.
Everyone who remains in him does not sin; , everyone who sins has not seen him or known him.
and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
The one who says, ‘I have come to know him,’ and yet doesn’t keep his commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
So now, little children, remain in him so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
The one who keeps his commands remains in him, and he in him. And the way we know that he remains in us is from the Spirit he has given us.
In this, love is made complete with us so that we may have confidence in the day of judgement, because as he is, so also are we in this world.
