Isn’t he really saying it for our sake? Yes, this is written for our sake,  because he who ploughs ought to plough in hope,  and he who threshes should thresh in hope of sharing the crop.

The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to get a share of the crops.


For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction,  so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures.


Indeed, everything is for your benefit so that, as grace extends through more and more people, it may cause thanksgiving  to increase to the glory of God.


For we are God’s co-workers.  You are God’s field, God’s building.


Unless those days were cut short, no one would   be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.


then you and your household may eat it anywhere. It is your wage in return for your work at the tent of meeting.
