So now, you have been pleased to bless your servant’s house that it may continue before you for ever. For you, Lord, have blessed it, and it is blessed for ever.

The responsibility for their deaths will come back to Joab and to his descendants  for ever, but for David, his descendants, his dynasty, and his throne, there will be peace from the Lord for ever.’


but King Solomon will be blessed, and David’s throne will remain established before the Lord for ever.’
